Submit Case Inquiries to IssueNet
This liaison assistance is now provided by NAFSA's Regulatory Ombuds, and international student and scholar advisers now have a new, more convenient way to contact them! The new system is better than phone calls and e-mails. You can enter your cases online on a Web site that allows you to track progress with your Regulatory Ombud. You will receive an e-mail alert when new information is posted and can check the summaries for all of your cases at your convenience.

New F-1 Transfer Guidelines
ICE has updated their F-1 Transfer FAQs. Apparently, the ICE FAQs overrides 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(f)(8)(i) which states “an F-1 student not pursuing a full course of study at the school he or she was last authorized to attend is ineligible for school transfer.” This latest FAQ allows schools to transfer terminated records opposed to FAQs published a couple of months ago. There are some specific criteria and communication between schools that must take place before terminated records are transferred. Please see the ICE link for further information.
